Local HOG chapters
I know a lot of people think they are a waste of time or had a bad experience. What would you do to make it more enjoyable and interesting? How about getting younger people involved? For the most part they all have one thing in common, to ride. I know everyone doesn't get along with everyone and not all people want to ride in groups but what do yo think?

RE: Local HOG chapters
im a member in my local hog chapter and i love it. we do a lot of rides and i am the youngest member at 19, closest to my age is probably late 20's or early 30's. its different riding with people older and some much older but it makes for many great conversations and a good time out riding. one thing we do is some different rides. we get tired of dinner rides and just rides, this year we have some sunday afternoon rides planned for lunch, mini golf, and dessert all in a ride. many people seem to be into those kind of rides. just think outside the box and ask everyone for their input!

RE: Local HOG chapters
MIne (Charlotte) is very active with lots of rides scheduled and events for every type rider. Dinner rides every thursday night, weekend day rides and overnighters too. About 400 members and all type riders, rubs, distance riders (30k per year). Al ages. Nice group of folks, no cliques that I am aware of.
Hope your experience is as good

RE: Local HOG chapters
Wife and I got4 free memberships in the last5 years. Two different Chapters. Both with great people, wide variety of bikes and people. We just don't like to ride in that large a group. There is a group of us that have been riding for years. Most rides less than 10 bikes. Absolutely nothing against HOG, we just like our little group.
