I wonder how much difference in safety is their non dot helmet to their dot model?

I just got mine yesterday! Finally a half helmet I don't look like a total dork in. As said, the helmet ships with three different widths of helmet liner to get it to fit just right.

I'll post a pic of me in the helmet later today.

I got the Non-DOT helmet. I already have several DOT helmets, so I thought I'd get a well-made non-DOT one that's a little smaller.

Hey Wally

Just a note to share with you on the liner, I have found out that what works best for me is not to use any of the liners provided but instead I used a skull cap (kinda like a beanie), works beautifully for me. Thought I would share.

I just ordered the DOT helmet early this week. I asked what the difference is between their DOT and non-Dot. She told me it's the hardness of the liner/padding. The DOT has a much harder lining which can absorb more impact vs. the soft lining of the non-DOT.

Good tip. But actually mine was just a hair big, so the thickest liner works perfect for me.

Wow Kechour I wish I sould have read this about 2 hours ago when I sent my helmet backlol. I ordered a small and even with the smallest liner and my buzzcut hair style it was still squeezing whats left of my brain to tight so Returned it for a medium.I bet your Idea would have been a good fit.For some reason I thought the liner had to be in there for safety but WTF was I thinking lol its only like a 1/4 inch thick foam!!!.Well I did order my brothers and my exchange in medium and i can alway's but in the thicker one and skull cap to make it tight OH Well. Thanks for the tip LOL
