Would you Rent Your Bike?

Would you Rent Your Bike?
I have two reasons for asking this question. First, I have a son going off to graduate school in the fall and an older son graduating from graduate school taking a job in late summer. That means this may be the last chance for a father-son-son ride across country. Only problem is older son doesn't own a bike (yet), and I'd kind of like to avoid the $150/day prices that HD charges. So, I was wondering if anyone (especially those with a 2nd bike in the garage) had ever considered renting their bikes.
Two, a neighbor just bought a very nice RV that he is "leasing back" to the RV dealer as a rental unit. The deal is not too bad. His payments are about $6000 a year and the lease agreement from the dealer guarantees $4000 in rentals over the year. So, he loses use at certain times of the year but when the RV is setting idel he is making his payments with the lease system. I also have a friend that does this with a sail boat out of San Diego. But I don't see HD owners doing it, and it got me wondering.
Long and short of it ... I'd be interested in renting a bike privately for $300 to $500 (7 to 10 days, let's say). Anyone think of renting their bike?

RE: Would you Rent Your Bike?
No, I wouldn't rent mine.
I rented a new, 07 ultra, in ohio for $69 a day. That was a swinging deal so I took it for 2 days or 3 days, don't recall.
Shop around. You may find an other than harley dealer that will rent them for less than your local dealership.
If you join HOG they have the fly and ride program, and maybe you can just ride?

I just paid 'round 18000 for new x-bones so I guess I can rent it for time span you requested, but rate structure a little different than you suggest.
Deposit=$18,000
1st day rent = $18,000
all consecutive days free of charge as our gift to you our valued customer.
Seriously though are you out of your p-pickin-mind.
