Open faced helmet
Hi All,
I am looking for an open faced helmet that covers the ears. I'm looking for something that is thin and retro looking. Does anyone use the Nolan N-30 helmet? Does it cover your ears or is just a long half helmet? Also does anyone use a Davida helmet, they have some nice looking retro helmets, but they are kinda pricey. Any others that you know of that don't have snaps on the front?
Thanks for all the help,
Jimmy

RE: Open faced helmet
Daytona 3/4 helmets are great. Pretty inexpensive as well. Very light weight and fit very well. They are DOT approved and the same size at the 70's style 3/4 helmets.

Hey Redbeard
Thanks for the link to that post. Don't know how I missed it. It had alot of good info for what I'm looking for.

looked at that helmet, does look like it's a small shell, just wish it didnt have the snaps in front, but as cheap as it is I might just have to try it. Are you stationed in SD? I was stationed there in the 80's for awhile, one of my favorite places. Weather is almost always perfect.
Thanks again for your help guys,
Jimmy

My wife and I both have Davida helmets, if you want the best build quality and custom paint go with them.
The Davida helmets are SSSSSOOOOOO quiet they are certainly the best for the job and the interior being clad in quality leather makes them a joy to wear.
Yes you could save yourself around £50 and get something cheaper, but just the ability to choose your own paint has to be worth having.
I have been to their facility and it is small enough to care with people who value your business and treat you as a customer.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their product to anyone, everyone that sees the lid I have is full of admiration.
Go for it, your head and hearing is worth it!
