Anyone have a dealer trailer your bike?
My local dealer is running specials on labor now. It pretty cold and crappy here in Illinois, and the dealer will pickup AND deliver it back for no charge. Enclosed trailer.
I am having them put on a rear tire and reduced effort clutch.
Should I be concerned about the transport?
The upside is I have no down time during prime riding season.

Abolutely no problem with dealer picking up/delivering your bike. My dealer does it all the time for me....enclosed van, very careful with transporting.

My local dealer has a cpl trailers and trucks i have been in there when they were unloading and loading and they are very careful during both more carefull than some owners i have seen load up.
I would say you will be ok, and do a walk around the bike with the guy who picks it up. He will do this anyway and note any scracths or dings or dents for there record. and if all looks good and your both in agreement sign on the pic up paper and there is your security.

Never any problems having them P/U & deliver. Our dealer always does this in the colder months and never charges a dime and I'm an hour away.

I have had no problem. My dealer, Paradise HD in Tigard Oregon has a full time employee with pickup and enclosed trailer who does nothing but transport bikes. The trailer is set up with wheel chocks and anchors. I live on the Oregon coast 140 miles away. They delivered the bike to me when I bought it and will come and get it and return it after servicing or working on it. No charge. I can't say enought good things about owner Mike Durbin and his staff.

Same here my dealer has 2 trailers with mounted chocks and tie downs and 2 full time drivers that do nothing but transport,. They will let you load and unload if you like or they will do it. Either way they are liable once the bike is on the trailer and they are the only guys I never had ANY issues with. They are at the top of my 'appreciation' list at the dealer come Holiday time!

I wouldn't worry about it at all, they should know what they are doing. If they damage it by accident they are insured. My dealer hauled my wifes bike to us when she bought it in the winter, no problem at all.
