Anyone have a dealer trailer your bike?

RE: Anyone have a dealer trailer your bike?
Yes, I had a dealer about 80 miles away pick up one of my bikes for some additions. No problems. It was a good service and all at no charge as long as I waited until they had more pick-ups in my area.

Idid this recently and it worked out fine,in fact it benefits the rider and the dealer. He doesn't have to lay off his mechanics and you don't have to tie your bike up during the busy season so you can ride more.

I had it done once for my Sporty when the oil tank exploded (condensation formed an ice plug in the oil line causing the motor to act like a compressor till it popped, thank God I wasn't sitting on it at the time) and once for my Streetbob due to an electrical short. No probs either time. They have a reeeeeal low, enclosed trailer.

No problems with my dealer (Paradise Tigard Oregon) As pointed out, they know how to handle abike properly, and are setup totie it down properly. I don't give it a second thought when they have come topick it up, or deliver it back

My local dealer is running specials on labor now. It pretty cold and crappy here in Illinois, and the dealer will pickup AND deliver it back for no charge. Enclosed trailer.
I am having them put on a rear tire and reduced effort clutch.
Should I be concerned about the transport?
The upside is I have no down time during prime riding season.
