Default Cam question

Would it make much a difference if I changed my cams to something hotter without doing the big bore and head work. I wanna do the rest but for now can I get some more ponies that route. I have the stage 1 and V&H Big radius and PCIII. If so what are some good cams to run for rockin round town low end torquish power?? Thanks
Rick

If you look over in the Motorcycle Parts for Sale in the Classifieds section, you will see a couple of guys selling Andrews 26G cam sets. These can be used in a TC88 engine without a bore or piston change.

You can go to the Andrews products Cam web page and read about what each cam can be used with.

Here's a dyno of a tc88 with a tw26 an Rinehart TD's to give you an idea , you may see more torque , but not much change in hp

It's my opinion that if your gonna do cams have the headwork done also. You'd be better off waiting until you can have it all done at once instead of doing a little at a time.Bolt on cams are OK ,I guess, but you may be dissapointed with the results.
