Cam question
Would it make much a difference if I changed my cams to something hotter without doing the big bore and head work. I wanna do the rest but for now can I get some more ponies that route. I have the stage 1 and V&H Big radius and PCIII. If so what are some good cams to run for rockin round town low end torquish power?? Thanks

RE: Cam question
If you look over in the Motorcycle Parts for Sale in the Classifieds section, you will see a couple of guys selling Andrews 26G cam sets. These can be used in a TC88 engine without a bore or piston change.

RE: Cam question
I am assuming the andrews can also be used if I continue to upgrade with the piston and heads... Can the stock valves and such be used and oh... Im at 77hp now any idea what those cams can get me to??

RE: Cam question
You can go to the Andrews products Cam web page and read about what each cam can be used with.

RE: Cam question
Here's a dyno of a tc88 with a tw26 an Rinehart TD's to give you an idea , you may see more torque , but not much change in hp

RE: Cam question
Talk to the cam grinders, they will be happy to explain what you will see with different grinds.

RE: Cam question
It's my opinion that if your gonna do cams have the headwork done also. You'd be better off waiting until you can have it all done at once instead of doing a little at a time.Bolt on cams are OK ,I guess, but you may be dissapointed with the results.

RE: Cam question
go ahead and get the gear drive you need it anyway and the cams will give you the most for your money do the heads and big bore at the same time head work will give you a lot by it's self big bore by it's self not a big deal....
