bike week in about 2 1/2 weeks who is not going and why

 

All ready down here. Just waiting on the rest of you to show up.

 

Heading down at the end of the month...

 

Some friends and I are heading down to Key West on the 21st. We plan on spending the first night in Savannah and then head to Daytona and spend the day at "Destination Daytona" before continuing on to the keys. We'll hit Bike Week on the way back up on Mar. 1st.

 

I'll be going to Bama Fest March 14-16 this year, Daytona was a real letdown in 2007. We stayed at the Cabbage Patch campground last year and with the anti nudity laws and traffic in Valousa county I probably not go back anytime soon. If I understand correctly, if a woman exposes herself she'll be arrested and charged with a sex crime. It was so bad that even in the adult only campground (Cabbage Patch), they disqualified a woman in the wet t-shirt contest for showing her breasts.

I am going - why? It has been 6 months since I have been out of the office and if I do not get out soon I will kill someone and soon. Seriously, I go to ride. Spend very little time downtown. Not into the crowds. Will hang out at the Cabbage Patch, ride through the horse farms and just enjoy FLA.

Ride safe and have fun.

 

Gotta work. I would go but I still have a 15 year old in HS and being single I have to stay home and raise the yougun for a couple more years.

 

It's just a little bit to far for me

 

****, I live in the Daytona Beach area and I'm looking forward to getting out of town for a few days during Bikeweek.I can only take a day or two of Bikeweek.Most of the vendors sell t-shirts and trinckets and it's the same **** year after year.Thenhalf the riders are all boozed up by noon and you get ALOT of people that just CAN'T ride(it can be pretty dangerous).I can't get out of second gear on the loop cause eveyones sightseeing and sitting on Rt.1 or Main Stwhile my motor starts to cook is just no fun for me.Think I'm gonna ride into Miami and then down to Key West and beback on the 5thfor the chop showat ******* Tropical Tattoo on the 6th.

 

Not going... Why? $$$$$. Or -$$$$$ rather. New baby on the way.
