I have also asked a couple of Harley mechanics about this, one guy told me it would harm the injectors, another told me if it ain't broke don't fix it.
Good advice. I sold my last Harley with over 70k on the odometer. During the time I owned itI never usedFI cleaner. Good premium gas was all she everneeded.

I use Sta-Bil. Since I have three sports cars and three bikes sitting around I keep Sta-Bil in them to prolong the life of the gas. It is also a injector cleaner. Works great for decades now.

All carb/injector cleaners are the SAME petrolium distilate. Petrolium distilates disolves gums and varnish. They can't gum up injectors. The only other thing to clean injectors is Toululene. Potent stuff. Some older gaskets and o-rings can be eaten up by it though.

Seafoam sounds a lot like Marvel Mystery Oil. Are they the same stuff??

No, they are not the same stuff. However, they often have similar cult like followers that will tell you the miracles that they can perform. Usually something like this......"Seafoam is good at warding off tigers. I have can of Seafoam in my garage and have never seen tiger outside of my house, so it must work. Good stuff. I highly recommend it."

+1--- Techron comes in 12 oz bottles. Use 3oz with a full tank every couple months. The technicians (auto) where I work swear by it.

Sea Foam is good stuff... Best example I can make is the crappy 2-stroke weed wackers... always used stable every winter. (I'm no wrench) would only get 2 seasons before they would gum up and be hard too or not start... started putting Sea Foam in same wacker going on about 8 years no problems..

I have had Sta-Bil develop sediment in the bottle.I have seen a Sta-Bil guy in an old car forum say that this wouldn't hurt, that it disolves in the gas.I had already switched to Lucas when I saw this. The Lucas actually cleaned up the old fuel in my Ford 460 powered motorhome. The sucker was running horribly, when I poured the Lucas fuel treatment in,it started running bettter after a few minutes. I'm sold.
