It doesn't matter what kind of hat I'm wearing, whether it's a beanie, baseball cap or whatever, I can't get them to stay on without wearing goggles to hold them on.

I see folks cruising around with baseball caps on backwards, forward, beanies and they don't seem to have any issues.

Are my hats not tight enough or is my face deformed to the point where it creates enough lift to send my head wear onto the pavement?

I've tightend my adjustable caps to the point where it feels like my head is going to explode and they still won't stay on.

What the hell am I doing wrong?

I never tried it but I'm guessing they're behind a tall windshield or fairing. (or going very slowwwww)

 

LOL! I knew there was some inside trick thatI didn't know about!

Anywho, example:

Rode with my Father-in-law yesterday and he was wearing a baseball cap turned backwards on his Dyna WG, no windshield or anything.

If I tried the same that hat would have been on the ground after 30 mph.

I think my head is deformed.

 

I personally wear fitted caps..nice and tight, backward if on the scoot with no helmet. Under my beanie piece at all times.

 

Super glue.

 

A) I wear a "gimme" cap with regular bill, the trick is to wear one with the mesh back so it doesn't get sucked off.
B) With just a bead of sweat on the brow it sticks like glue.
C) Max speed is ~70mph, don't be turning your head to look sideways.

Works for me all the time, shades the eyes nicely on sunny days as well.

 

A suitable amount of JB Weld will keep that errant beanie attached; of course trying to remove it after the ride can generate a few problems too.

Pull it down low on the brow in front. Mine are usually low to the point that the upper frim of my sunglasses covers the bottom edge of the hat.
