Default Right side vs. Left side question

Ok, I know this probably should be a no brainer but here goes. I've worked around cars pretty much since old enough to know what a wrench was. I bought the Smart Siren for my bike last weekend and read the instructions. Removed the "right side cover" as related to sitting on the bike. I did this since the "right side" of a car is referring to the passenger side as sitting in the driver's seat, thinking it was the same on a motorcycle. Ended up having to pull the "left side cover" to find the connector and placement slot. lol Was this a typo or what?

My question is, is the right side the "brake side" of the bike or the "shifter side" of the bike. I've got the pipes and all from Fuel Moto and going to install tonight. Since the pipes are side specific (per Jamie, due to the custom baffle packing), I don't want to switch it up. Which is left and which is right side???????????????????????????

Ok, I'm ready for all the smartass answer's and deserve it. lol

When you get the left vs right figured out, we'll work on clockwise vs counter clockwise. Is it clockwise when you're looking at the clock from the front or from the back of the clock? LOL

I'd ask Jamie to make sure.
