Just bought a windshield for my bike. What is the best product to use to clean it? And does Rain X work on plastic?

Plexus Protectant & Polish.....

 

Don't use Rain-X on the stock windshields or it will cloud it. I think the best stuff out there, hands down, is Plexus.

I've used both, so I'll just say; "opinions vary"...

 

Wash with a good grease cutting dish detergent and water, Dawn works great. Wipe down with a mirco-fiber cloth, go only in one direction, I go top to bottom. Then Pledge or Plexus, I use Pledge its cheaper. Take a clean cloth, douse it real well with Pledge and put it a zip-lock bag, force out the air, seal and stick in your saddlebag/tourbox/whatever. Always have one ready to take care of the windsheild.

 

I use believe it or not Honda Polish I believe it is called. It cleans anything spotless and with ease. About 7 bucks for a spray can and it lasts a year I would say. I swear by this stuff it keeps your entire bike spotless...
