No Rain-x................No Rain-x..................
I use Plexus it's great stuff
Honda Polish is supposed to be awesome but I haven't tried it yet, I will soon. You can find Plexus and Honda polish at most metric shops.

I too have used many of the products listed here, and they all work pretty good, but try BUGSLIDE if you ever get the chance, it's the best cleaning product that I've ever used, and it works great on almost every surface! Quickly removes splattered bugs from your windshield, fairing shell or were ever, and it also makes rubber and vinyl look like new again.Spray it on your wrinke black crankcases and primary housing to make them look like new again! Stay away from Rain X, it will "lift" the lexan coating from your windshield and leave spotty areas that ruin a windshield. The BUGSLIDE sells for $19.99 for a 16 oz.bottle with triggersprayer and includes a microfiber cloth. You can check this product out at:www.jackiebluewear.com

So far I have been using plain old water. Wet a towel soak the shield and wipe dry with a micro fiber drying cloth..... No ill affects to date. ( Of course I only have 1000 mile on the bike ) But that is the way I was instruced to clean it when I got it and so far it works pretty good..

Lemon Pledge with a micro-fiber cloth. Works great on the rest of the bike also. I always carry a can of it and a cloth while on the road to keep the bugs from building up on the ride.

+1 on Slip Stream...Love this stuff...

I use warm water on one of those sponges that's wrapped in micro fiber, and a micro fiber towel to dry it. That's all. But then, I usually wipe the shield down after each ride, or just before going on the next ride. Almost 30,000 miles in less than two years, and it's worked for me.

I just bought a new LRS windscreen and asked them about using Rain-X. They said it was fine. Dunno about other ones.

+1 bugslide, the stuff rocks! I was recommended it at the Texarkansas (spell check) dealership while on a road trip and I will not use anything else.
