Default riding boot recommendations...

Want to buy some good riding boots. What do you guys recommend for me?

I need something that keeps me cool, as I live in AZ and don't worry about rain so the whole waterproof thing goes out the window. Looking for a boot that will be comfortable, and decent ventilation (if such a thing exists on a boot) and that is about it....

Does "Crocs" make boots? LOL, they should be well ventilated.

You may want to look for a boot that has a fair amount of breathable nylon material in it instead of solid leather. I've seen them in Harley brand as well as others. I bought a pair of boots from leatherup.com but they are all leather. You could check there though, they seemed to have a good selection.

I only wear Redwings (the comfort line of boots, brown but I don't give a crap)due to being on my feet (usually on concrete) all day 5-6 days a week.
If you want blackthey make a line of "motorcycle" boots(lace-ups/slip-ons),engineer boots, lineman, steeltoe, too.
Redwings are my choice, little pricey to some but in my book you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to footwear.

Red Wing black steel toe boots.

I also have a pair of HD boots, which I like as well. Bought them on sale and got another 20% off of the sale price. I think they are called "Miner" boots, but not sure.

I have Dr. Martens, 10 eye in black. Comfortable enough for a long ride, relatively waterproof but can get a bit warm on a hot summer ride.

Red Wing Steel Toe Waterproof boots aren't going to help this guy out in the Arizona heat. I've seen leather boots out there that have nylon sewn into parts of the boot to make it breathable. I just can't remember exactly what brand or model they were. Check out Icon boots - they're bound to have a website.

I like the zippers on mine. Really nice to release the hounds quick after a long day.
