Since I had my son 7 months ago, I decided I wanted to get a helmet that would actually protect my head and decided to go with a 3/4 bucket. After much searching on here, I found alot of people liked the Daytona 3/4 helmet. Well I bit the bullet and orderd one after looking at thier web site and they made the claim of the thinest 3/4 helmet made. I got it yesterday and rode with it for the first time today. I must say, this helmet is very, very light. It is also very comfortable to wear and seems to be pretty well made for the price. it is a classic 70's style and size and is very nice. The fit is snug but not too tight, it keeps the head and ears warm on the cool ride to work in the morning. Over all I am very happy for the price and I would say if you are looking for a 3/4 helmet that is super light, DOT compient and really reasonably priced, Daytona helmet is for your.

You look good, it gives you character. I'm going to order one. I usually wear a DOT German helmet but I like the looks of that one and it is no doubt a bit safer.
Thanks,

I wear 3/4 year round, but I'm looking for a reasonable price for one with a (down to the chin) sealing face shield instead of snaps. I get rain dripping down between the helmet and face shield or bill.

You should snap a visor onto that thing. Makes it look a little cooler IMHO, plus helps keep the sun out of the eyes. Is this your first helmet?

Hey,Chris. What size is that helmet your wearing? It looks good, not too bulky. My head is pretty big.I have a largeZ1R Jimmy Retro that fits perfectly, but looks absolutely ridiculous. It looks so bad that I've gone either novelty helmet or nothing at all. It's nice to live in a free state, but I'd still like to protect my head once in awhile.
