I like the option of taking the windshield off when it's warm and dry. With 27k on my 05 I find the windshield gives plenty of protection on long rides. I like to get the "feel of the ride" and having ridden boththink you loose something when you put yourself behind a big fairing. Just my opinion.

I agree 100%. I currentlyhave Road King Customw/a detachable windshieldand don't miss the fairing at all. Gotta have some wind, especially in the heat as you said.

It's strickly a matter of choice. I've had both and enjoyed them equally.

Hi all,

I have a 06 RKC and a 07 SG in my garage as we speak and what I think would be the ultimate bike no questionwould be a King with a detachable (hoppe) bat wing and a killer sound system.
