Default HELP! Bolt size

I just got in my 1 1/2" drag bars. Of course the stock riser bolt don't fit. I need help so I don't have to bring the bars to the hardware store. I did a search and I came up with a bolt size of 1/2x20. Can someone help out a guy who is itchin to get back on the road
?

So what do you need.....just go to the local Home Depot, Lowes...even a truck body place and ask for a grade 8 bolt that fits....no?

Never mind. A little brute strength and blind ignorance and the stock bolts work. I should post this in :don't ask.... I just know.

Make sure it wasn't supposed to be 1/2x13. My 02 stock risers were 1/2x13 but my aftermarkets were 1/2x 20.Make sure you didn't cross thread the wrong one in there.

Whenever people buy accessories ,especially chromed ones; run a tap or thread chaser through the tapped holes.I`ve seen it a bunch of times when not done you are looking to get it drilled out and re-tapped when it binds up and snaps off.$400 PM caliper, with a broken bolt stuck in it-priceless.Not sure about the size of the bolt in question as to the TPI.Good luck.Toby
