Lookin fo Spinners

RE: Lookin fo Spinners
I'll give you an honest opinion on spinners. Had them on my Hayabusa.
F*****G nightmare. Had RC Comp's. First of all, RC sells strictly on their name, or something, because their customer service SUCKS. I wouldn't take anything free from those retards.
Cleaning spinners is a nightmare. They have an open-bearing concept. Every 500km's, you have to spray them out with electrical contact cleaner, and then lube them with WD40. Drive around the block, and then come back and clean up all the s**t that flew off them. Repeat that a couple of times. Not to mention it's like having to clean 4 rims instead of two.
Now, let's talk physics. They can't be balanced, because of the spinner inside. Next of all, if you're flying into a corner, and need to slow a bit to lean over, you have to fight the bike, because no matter how much you brake, the inside of each wheel keeps spinning at your entry speed, so the centrifugal force wants to stand you back upright.
The only advantage is the coolness factor, I guess. Maintenance is worry-free if you're only going down to the 7-11 to pose with the rest of the bruthas, and not ride the bike more than a couple of miles each year.
They are expensive as hell. I certainly did not like mine.
