Just bought my 04 sportster on ebay 4-5 weeks ago. I am in Ohio and it was in Florida. Had it shipped up by independant hauler and entire transaction was trouble free. I had a few sleepless nights, but all went well. Would do it again.

 

Shopped ebay for a while, but decided to go local - if I couldn't find what I wanted in Southern Cal, I probably wouldn't find it anywhere. Began shopping craigslist local, and found what I wanted, a low-mileage Sporty,about three miles from my house, for a good price. LIFE IS GOOD!

 

if your across country ask if he/she would take bike to nearest dealer and you can have it inspected give dealer there fee over phone, and get a total inspection paint they can run the id for any problems, ect, my dealer charges 84 bucks for complete inspec, worst case you loose 84 bucks

 

Bought my eglide on ebay off Coop at Dixie cycles in Pompano in May. Drove down with the wife and road bike back to SC thru all the smoke they were having in South Ga. The only problem was the eyes burning from the smoke.Great people to deal with.

 

I would for the right cercumstances but also check to see if there anything on craigslist I have been finding some good things on their. I accually posted on the wanted's here and thats how i got my ironhead. good luck

 

Bought 3 and have sold 3 all on EBAY, no problems in fact they have been the best transactions I have ever done, and I would rather do business that way than in person.

 

Same here... I effed with the guy to totally waste his time. He must have caught on because I wouldn't budge on sending him his 6K for a 12K bike over seas while he was at his sisters wedding.

They Had the 7500 mi law for years. It has to do with emission certification Cal has there own specks
