Default Kuryakyn switchblade foot pegs

Does anyone have the Kurkakyn switchblade front highway pegs? I looked at a pair yesterday and the fold out heel rest felt very loose when unfolded (very tight when foleded up) and I wonder if it rattles. Can this be tightened up or would you just have to live with it? Thanks.

Saw the switchblades, looked really good. Frankly I don't see the reasoning. I have the old Kurkakyn heal rests that don't fold. I could never see a reason to fold them up! Really love the feel of the rests. Not quite foot boards, but a hell of a lot better than plain pegs. You won't be sorry!

Added matching heel rests to the HD pegs on my softail and they made a good difference, as far as them rattling? No idea.

My Dad has them on his DWG, and likes them. He never folds them up, so really I don't see the point of them, and would get the regular heel rests.

I don't know about the rattle ... but there were a number of folks on a Poker Run this last weekend that swore by them ... kinda neat that you can tuck them up when riding around town ...

I just ordered a set from M&M Cycles (got 25% off buying before Jan 16th!!!) ... think they regularly sell them at 20% off ....

I installed a pair of the ISO pegs with heel rest. They mounted so loosley that they wiggled under my feet and would not stay up when folded. I got some brass shim stock, cut a strip and wrapped it around the mounting bolts. Perfect fit! You might consider doing a little modification like this if you really like the switchblades.

I just bought them for myself for christmas. Don't have them on yet. I saw them when I was in Sturgis 2005 at the Kuryakyn tent and decided they were for me. I liked the flip down heel rests. It gives me a third position for my feet.

Just put them on the new bike. Seem to be secure, but haven't been able to try them while riding.

I had the ISO stirrups on my Roadking and loved them. They can be loose like someone commented but there's a large nut that you use to tighten them up and they never moved one me again..and I would put a lot of weight on them when riding to shift positions etc...

I was just looking at their site yesterday and think I am going to go with a pair of their Pilot pegs on my Street glide. The stilettos look cool too, but dont think I'd ever fold it in and seems like one extra moving part that I don't need to worry about breaking or coming loose etc...

I have switchblades on my wideglide. When I am riding hard,or riding twisties I keep them folded in.I can scrape them pretty easy.I do lean hard in some corners. They do not rattle when they are extended. For longer trips they sure are nice. The only complaint I have was that they loosened up once when I put too much weight on the heal. That was my fault.......I have since tightened the crap out of them.......overall I like them, and don't regret having them on.
