RE: What's cheapest TC88B upgrade to 100TQ/100HP?
What exactly do they do to the heads, when they do head work? Bigger valves? Polishing?
It looks like for a decent build to get to 100/100 club I need the following:
Head work or New Performance Heads
New big bore jugs or Bore Originals
New Camshaft
Carb Tune(jetted)
New Pushrods
Crankcase machined?
New Crankshaft?
I can get some power by just doing a 95" but to reach my goals I'll need to take that next step. I'm not one to be happy with baby steps. So this thread has helped me understand my starting position and what I need more research on. I need more information about camshafts and the headwork.
Another question I had is about the balancers. What happens to the balance of the engine if I change all this stuff? Do I end up with good vibrations? What happens to the idle, does it lope like a race car? I'm not looking for a race engine here, just some good old fashion sleeping muscle.

Anyone got a link for pricing of the 107" Zippers kit for carbs. I can't find it anywhere on thier website? That kit looks very promising.

I don't care if you don't stand up for what you believe. Dealer "S" aren't the problem. Labowski is in MD and Deuce is in MO.

Dealer prices are outrageouson just about anything.
With your attitude, I will lump you right with the other "hundred dollar" dealers I know. I'll never go inside one of those places again.
I've bought my last new Harley.
I love highly depreciated, low mileage, loaded RUB bikes that are fsbo, and I love my indy who knows twin cams well. He has 2 full time certified Harley wrenches on staff who work for him because they got sick of the stealership where they worked. He's swamped with work but still manages to be glad to see you come in.
