Default Kick Stand.

Does the MoCo underengineer everything on purpose, so their customer has to buy the "better" product to replace the lousy stock piece.
Is there an add on that attaches to the existing kick stand that someone like me can easily deploy without marking up the primary case with my heal?
They leave a quarter of an inch piece that we are suppose to use with our size 12 feet.
Oh, but for another hundred bucks, we can buy a new jiffy stand that has a piece that you can actually use with ease..
Stuff like that pisses me off.

Thanks.

Yes they do and it is very profitable for them as you come back and buy 5-8K worth of good products to fix all the fu@#ups. HD is the King of deception and only has one thing in mind $$$$$$$$$,

I too have issues with the kickstand. I have repeatedly got my boot "stuck" between the kickstand and the primary case almost dumping my bike. Very poor design. I hope the rest of the bike is not as poorly designed.[:@] I am very careful evetime I get on my bike.

I don't think it was a poor design, I think it was an intentional poor design, designed to make another sale to fix it.

The stand extinsion works great. On my old softail model and my wife's Sportie you had to drill the stand. Get lots of good sharp drill bits, the stand is hardened.

Good thing you don't own some other brand, Harley has the best stand in the business. When was the last time your bike ever rolled off the stand?

Know what you mean, until I got used to it I operated the kick stand by hand for the first month or so.
