I got two friends that bought used harleys from a place in E. Tx.(not the dealer, custom place). One of em broke down the day after he bought it (some little simple thing the place did preppin it). He goes back in that day and gets told oh sorry forgot to tell you thats a consignment bike so we cant do anything unless you pay for it. Other friend has similar problem. Only difference is he ended up spendin a grand plus a month after he bought it.

I always had sort of a bad feeling about Jones HD and their two locations in Little Rock and the one in Hot Springs, AR, but it was more about their attitude and the prices they quoted on new bikes. The stores have now been purchased by Landers and they seem to have a new attitude. I met Captain in the Little Rock store last week and saw Gary Watts in the North Little Rock store. I'm sure that Landers made a huge investment to buy these three stores and they'll want to see return on that investment. Hopefully a new attitude will be good for their business.

Angry Won me a bike but no go

When I bought by HD Deluxe, Ihad t go arond and paly poker games to get little items. When I got to the maintenacne department thee, ne of the managers fold out a deck of cars in from of me on the ****er and told me to pick one. Before I did, however, I asked what I had to pick and what I would win. He said if picked the 2 of spades,I got a free bike.

Who and behodls, I reached down and turned over a card and it was the 2 of spades! Well every one went nuts and I thogt I had one a bike. Then he said no, I get a 20 dollar gift certificate and added that nobody ever won a bike. Pissed me off. I did no know they were joking.

Wow... Where do I begin... Chick's HD had a fantastic reputation for sales and service. The Chick's employees treated me like gold from day one walking into the dealership. The sales manager would sell bikes under MSRP if you were #1 local or #2 affiliated with the US military.

That being said, a couple of years ago, Chick sold the dealership to a larger corporation and the dealership was renamed Thunderbird HD. Since the change in hands at the dealership, the sales department has made a radical change. No longer are bikes being sold at or below MSRP... I found this out the hard way last week when trying to deal on an '07 NightTrain. Not only did the dealership jack up the price of abone stock Train by almost 2 grand, but they alsohoriffically lowballed me on my showroom quality trade-in (well below low blue book). When I questioned the deal, they told me that since the Motor Company is on strike, they can charge whatever they please and that someone else would walk in right behind me to purchase the bike in question. I found that amazing since the Train I was looking at has been there on the showroom for at least 2.5 months (yes, I did visit it every few days...). Now I know that these dealings are not uncommon, but please...

All being said, I'm going to be travelling to Santa Fe HD to see if I can get my new ride there...
Same here, ever since TB took over that place s*cks, Chick new how to run a dealership. Also try contacting Chandler HD in Arizona, they are supposed to be owned by same as SFHD and when I was ther they papered me a deal that was VERY hard not to do but the finances wouldn't allow and the price was going to be delivered to SFHD so it could be titled in NM. Chick need to open a dealership in Rio Rancho!

Yes I bought a Bike from a shop here in Brisbane Australia. Spent heaps on Customising etc etc the attitude is as if I owe them something for their service (of overcharging) &to smile..Apparently once you pay out they want you out the door fast Until the Next Sting! Another shop had a guy do the switches!Yeah! almost burnt my Bike to pieces..Lucky I quickly disconnected the battery when I came home! Thats the Service!None!!

I have located Parts via Ebay etc at a Fraction of the Cost & the Items are Genuine..Its this way! lately I dont trust the shops to have my bike there without me there (looks like will have to sleep there just in case) As If!!!! With the shonky last episode! I blasted verbally the shop! Never Ever will they Touch my Bike again..Im a Female & still I have seen the B/s that they go on with males also! Its sickening..Its all about ripping us Off!!!

I'm just guessing here, but maybe they think that because the ignition is no longer stock that you now have a race bike? I would ask them to clarify their position.

Default Bad Harley Dealers

Worth Harley Davidson North in Kansas City.... My new bike was pulling hard to the left, had it in twice to the service to get it looked at, they said they fixed it, I would get on it and ride and didn't get 2 blocks and it was still pulling , I'd turn it around take it right back.. Finally got the Manager to ride the bike.. he comes back and says "Hell yes it's pulling hard to the left, we'll get right on it" .. 2 weeks later I go to pick up the bike. I take it for a ride and crap, it is still pulling to the left just not as bad. I take it back around there , and Jimmy the manager tells me there is no way it is pulling to the left, because he just did a test ride on it, and made sure it wasn't pulling to the left.. I asked him if he was calling me a liar.. He started back peddling , then said " we contacted Harley and they said you're not supposed to ever ride without both hand on the bars"... I almost hit him, but I figured it would just cost me jail time and more money. I put it to him like this.. I could put a bike together that was way out of alignment, and still ride it with both hands on it.. but that don't make it right. It has now gone to Harley for review and waiting for a response.

Sorry this is so long just thought I would rant some while I was on the soap box.
