I buy a beater car for under 2 grand to drive to work. I gave 1600 for my 89 Olds Ninety-Eight. Drove it for almost 5 years and got 1650 for it when some gal pulled out in front of me at WalMart and totaled it. Bought another for 1700. I leave the keys in it parked out in front of the house. The scoots and other vehicles are kept in the garage. I figure the crooks will find the one out front with the keys, take it, and leave the others alone. Ain't even had a beater stolen yet.

lol - wouldn't have thought of that one. Your bike was totally safe until you gave away the secret.

I just leave it unlocked. It's a 1997 and I have insurance - if it gets stolen, I'll buy another one.

I take the 1974 Norton. If they know how to start that AND keep it running then they're a better man than I.

They say if your Norton gets stolen always look in the lowest part of the village first.

".............if they wanted them they would find a way to take them, just keep your insurance paid up."

Couldn't agree more!

This bike in this photo has never had a problem being stolen even with the keys in it.
