If Im traveling alone I lock the front and back wheeels together with a cable and lock. With another rider we lock them together. Also the harley alarm with pager lets me sleep better. If they take it, I want blame myself....

Chromejunkie has it right! Mine is second best. I kill anyone that gets to close to it. And then ask them what their intention was. But the guilty bastar-s don't answer.[sm=violent053.gif][sm=smiley11.gif]

I think the pic of the dog is photoshopped just a bit.I worry more about the bike getting stolen from the garage when nobody is home, than when I'm out and about on it.For the garage,I use a floor anchor and the biggest chain and best padlock I could find.Lock the forks with another padlock and one more chain going through the front wheel to the floor anchor. It might seem like overkill, but I'd rather not have the bike disappear.Besides, there are plenty of nicer bikes than mine to choose from! And my insurance is up to date.

I always try to park it in line of sight....I check on it often, but never walking right up to it. I have the HD alarm and siren, and I am planning on getting the pager. It dont hurt to have a good eye for scum bags either......I am always watching out for people "checking out my bikes".

My friends and I use a plastic coated cable with loops on both ends.We run the cable thru the front wheels of each bike and then lock the ends together with a big lock. We always lock all three of our bikes together when we are traveling. Maybe if there is a thief around he will move on somewhere else rather than try to cut thru the cable and seperate the bikes.

Last time I chained my front tire I came back from the beach after a couple cold ones and forgot about the chain. The chain went in the trash. If they want the bike that bad they can have it. Thats what insurance is for.
