In gear, with clutch squeezed until at least one car is stopped behind me. Also, I leave enough room in front toattempt an escape, if necessary.

After I have someone stopped behind me, I'll close the gap up front and hit neutral for a while if it's one of our longer redlights.

Yeah, in first when stopped here too. Maybe neutral if it's a long light and everyone has stopped behind me.

First gear with clutch in for this boy. Don't trust anyone coming up behind me.

I usually shift to neutral unless I'm first at the light and there is no one behind me. Cagers do have a habit of not actually seeing what's in front of them sometimes. Also, at night I tend to stay in gear regardless of lane/ light position since my tail light can blend into traffic so easily.

I am always in first gear ready to roll with enough room in front so if I have to I can launch out of the way, and unfortunately I have had to do it. When I hear screeching tires I am ready to roll.

Clutch in, 1st gear.

You know what I hate.. I hate those rare times, when you think you're in first gear, but you're really in 2nd. Not the smoothest of take offs.
