Several years ago we bought a great bike from an Indy dealer on a lean sale. Did all the paper work and submitted it to the DMV. 3 months later we still didn't have legal title and the Indy went broke and closed shop. We were sure we were screwed out of 8 grand. The DMV just kept saying the paperwork was "on hold". We were sweating big time. Long story short, the clerk had over charged us $1.47 in registration fees and it took 90 days to process the refund and issue the papers.
