Ridden several thousand miles in First Gear. Price isn't too bad, but then I never thought the words "cheap" and "rain gear" should be used in the same paragraph.

I bought the HD rain gear, have not regretted it at all. Yes, it cost 30 bucks more but it'll easily outlast the last two sets I've had. You usually get what you pay for. Lastfall I was riding in Rocky Mountain National Park, at the very top it started to rain/sleet/snow I stopped to put on my rain gear (along with about 30 others). By the time we got down into Estes Park it was pouring cats and dogs, it finally stopped about 5 miles east of there. I stopped to take off my rain gear (along with about 30 others). I was dry and comfortable, several others I was riding with were wet and cold...but they weren't about to pay 130 bucks for no darned rain suit...I just rolled it up, stashed it in my saddle bag, and road away with a smile on my face.

I just get wet. So far I have always dried out. Except I think my sons said I was all wet.

Been cross-country a couple times and my Frogg Toggs have held up great. They fit fine, are sturdy, and they keep you dry. I've ridden a couple times where I literally rode from sunup to sundown in the rain and the Frogg Toggs worked great.

I have the HD suit that BadBob had a link on. The suit is very well made and I think it will last a long time. I've had it for about three years and it still looks brand new. Worn it in several down pours and it has held up well. Love the suit and it keeps me bone dry but...Water gets in around the neck area. Is there any way to overcome this or does this happen with all suits? Feet get wet but that is easily remedied with water proof boots.
