Looking for a really loud horn. Any recommendations?

 

Good question. I don't know the answer but was planning on getting a Howards dual trumpet style horn before spring comes.

After my experience you also need to ask, "& is the most reliable" cause a horn that stops working or only works part of the time is worthless. In 3 years (52K miles) I have gone though 4 horns. OEM.....JUNK, HD same type with skull....... JUNK JUNK, BJs.... loud look great BUT would NEVER work after constant spraying with brake cleaner as they recommended, loved the sound but just had to throw them in the trash after sending them back with NO support from them, now have the HD air horn, it sounds like an old truck horn but seems to work each & every time. Good luck with your shopping .

Quite sure Griot's Garage sells a German horn that is up in the 120 db range or more.

NAPA carries a replacement horn 730-1056 rated at 420 Hz and 132 db made for them by FIAMM. It appears to be the "Freeway Blaster". About $13 - $15 at your local NAPA store.

It fits underneath the HD factory cowbell and hooks up with existing wiring.
