RE: Softail vs. Touring - Best Touring Bike is ???
Heck, I might as well get in on the fun , I've had a 04 Heritage, it was black and a sharp bike, rode 15000 miles on it before I traded, the only thing I regret about the trade is, I'd wish I had done it alot sooner, just like stated at hwy speeds of 75 to 80(Don't say that you won't be riding that speed, I said the same but when youe buddy goes flying by you'll keep up) the engine sounds like it's turning 8000 rpm's and you start getting that vib thriughout the bike, and I was always trying to get comfortable on the Heritagewhich never happened, now I am, 90 mph smooth as silk, just kick back and ride.

I've read all the posts about the Softail vs the Touring bikes, and I have an 04 Heritage with 18,000 miles on it (all mine). I love the looks and feel of the bike. I've thought about the Road King, but the Electra Glide? Don't you have to be OLD to ride one of them?

no you dont have to be old Im trading or selling my road king and pickin up an ultra classic.I'd say the FLH wins in the comfort department who cares about vibration at idle it dont bother me any.Its funny,I just had a memory lapse when I stopped in an intersection sitting there mindin me own business whan a 6 year old come to me and says now thats what I want a road king cause my dad has one and its cool...Just made my day to hear that!
my 2 sense
