Uncle Don's in Piedmont is pretty laid back . Don and his wife are super nice people .
I heard there was a fire that came though his property a couple of summers ago , I never found out how bad though .

Booked at Shade Valley. Never been there, but it's supposedly close to town, but quiet in a special area of the campgroud(geezer town). Has bus service for night partying and newer shower/toilet facilities. $15.00/nite/person

I have stayed at the Elk View Camgrounds 0ff I-90 about 6 miles south of Sturgis. It's $20/person/day. No reservations needed for tent or trailer spots unless you need full hook-ups.
It is a quiet campground with two large new shower buildings and a bar/resturant. In the five years that I have been there, I was not aware of any problems.
there is enough room on the north end to be out by your self if you want. Security is by arm bands to get into the facility.
