do you live the 'harley life style'

RE: do you live the 'harley life style'
I prefer to ride a motorcycle to driving a car or truck whenever I can. I like Harleys more than other brands, mostly because they are American made and I like the traditional "non-aerodynamic" lines. I am career military with a wife and two kids and live a normal blue collar lifestyle. If you have to live your life like a Cheech and Chong movie to be a "real biker", then call me a poser.

in around about way, this was kinda to find out about you all out there. i know there are a bunch in the military and then some of those professional guys - really a well rounded group i think. and also seems like a pretty diverse age group also.
maybe i should just say something like whats your age and what do you do with time -
and yeh i know there have been posts out there with this stuff
so i just thought i would approach it from a different angle
besides - i am having a boring day at work and needed something more interesting

What is a lifestyle? Do you go to stylist and choose one? If you're rich do you get one tailor made? If you can't afford a tailor made one can you get one at a department store or better yet a mass produced one from India at Wallmart?

I'm not sure if it is the facet of living meal to meal and sleeping on the sofa of a new found friend or just the look of well worn leather and jeans along with a dirty, held together with bailing wire scooter, but I kinda like owning the garage I park the scooter in and having a fridge to keep the next mean in and bein able to share it with someone else.
Not that there's anything wrong with living hand to mouth if ya don't mind doin that, but for me, that got old kinda fast. When I started realizing I was leaning on people more than leaned on me I started taking another look at my life style. I knew I had the smarts, it was just a matter of deciding when I had enough of the freedom from everything and established an address where I could call home. I still enjoy the ride, but now, pushing the very late 50s, I don't fit the lean chopper guy image anymore and I want to have a check in the mail once a month when I'm to old and lazy to go out and work for a days wage if I should reach 70.

I'm more of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde type of biker. I'm a professional and have to maintain a professional look and demeanor while I'm working but I'm not above brawling in rough bars when I'm in biker mode.
