Any H.O.G. Members, I am intrested in an Associate Membership
Hey all,
This is my first time in this forum. Longtime lover of motorcycles, licensed about 3 years ago and 1 full season of riding experience(recent purchase : P)...7500 milesish : ) not a bad season if you ask me : D
I was wondering if any of you H.O.G. members out there would be able to be my "sponsor" so that i could become an Associate Member. My big brother from my fraternity is a Harley Owner but i havent been able to get in contact with him for the past could of weeks so i thought that this would be the best place to turn to.
Please let me know if anyone would be able to do this for me. It would be appreciated greatly.
Thanks!
~Andrew

You got a Kawi! Go to your local H.O.G. Chapter and ask to be a guest on a ride. Ride, then go get an HD when you can! They most certainly let guests(you just sign a release form at ride)and associates with other motorcycle ride, but I can tell you from experience....not for too long, you need to get an HD to be a full member.

I don't know....
Maybe I'm missing something, but why would someone want to be any type of HOG member (Associate or Full) if they don't even own a Harley?
Doesn't Kawasaki have some type of 'owners group' or whatever in which they have scheduled rides and events?

The purpose of being an associate member is that you are not an owner of a Harley...but friends/family...i do plan on getting a second bike at a later time but in order to be an associate member you need to have some information form a full member...
Sponsoring Member Number (associate members only): is required in the form to become an associate member...you still pay for the membership and all...

being that i can't get a hold of my big brother i thought i would ask for some help.....
Thanks,
~Andrew

we undestand the concept. It's that we do not know you. In order to take advantage of events, you still have to be a full member and own a harley. what good is an assoc. going to do you?

Go to the local chapter that you're interested in participating in. If you've got one with enough greybeards, you won't have a problem finding a sponsor. There's enough long time members in my chapter (last year celebrated 20 years old) that have never owned a Harley, just not their style. They're still welcome for the camaraderie. I do see a few newbies who snub their noses at non-harley riders, I'm sure other HOG chapters may have a larger percentage of them, but you can't base all chapters on one example.
