I heard that in NYC they are stopping bikers, and if they dont have an endorsement..they tow their bike on the spot!

In fact, I was talking to an associate in Oregon last year and that state had passed the same law, if you are stopped without a motorcycle endorsement your bike was towed on the spot.
I believe Florida has a new law (starting in July of this year) where you can't even register a motorcycle unless you have a current motorcycle endorsement.
BTW, I've had a motorcycle endorsement since 1970. When stopped I want to make sure all paperwork is current (endorsement, insurance, registration, CCW permits, etc..).. Don't want to give them any reason to 'haul me in'..

Thought I was the only one with a temp.
Going without licence here would be unthinkable.
No insurance, you risk jail, and if stopped by an officer your bike will be confiscated on the spot.

It's going to be that way in more and more states.

RE: Do you have your motorcycle endorsement?
I've had mine for 35 years. Haven't been stopped for some time now, but I would hate to not be able to produce, at bare minimum, license and registration. I had a bike towed away many years back for lack of proper registration (expired temp) -- don't want that to happen again.

RE: Do you have your motorcycle endorsement?
Speaking of which, i just received a call from the school: the exam will be on wednesday 16th, 10:00 in the morning.
Wish me well...
I'm quite worried about the 8.
It's pretty tight, and since I weigh almost as much as the bike (the exam is on a Kawasaki ER5), and are 6'6" tall, it's not easy at all...
