Help me track a USPS parcel please!
Hi,
I've purchased some 14" Gimps from an online vendour who took his time sending them to Australia. (Nash Motorcycle Co @ Vancouver). They have provided me with the following number as a proof of shipping: "P463204071US" vis USPS.
However I can't find a place where I can track this number.
Could anyone please help.
thanks
Vlad

www.usps.com
However, that number did not come up. May want to call/email and verify that it is the correct tracking number.

The USPS web site is www.usps.com but the shipping number shows as "Delivery Status Not Available". Seems kind of strange that a package shipped from Canada would go via the US Postal Service.

I tried to track it and it says not available. Are you sure it was USPS that they shipped by?
If it was shipped from Canada by mail try www.canadapost.com

I have had the same problems trying to track with the USPS numbers. However, the last couple of times I called the post office and gave them the number and they were able to find it. They told me that they use a different system than on there website and they can't explain why it's not available on the website. Give your office a call and see if that helps.

There is no tracking number unless he bought one. The number he provided you with looks like a proof of mailing only, not a tracking number.

You have to purchase tracking.
This is just a shipping confirmation.
No way to track it.

RE: Help me track a USPS parcel please!
Hi guys, thanks for all your replies.
The parcel is coming from Nash Motorcycle Co, which is located at :
Vancouver, WA 98663, USA, not Canada.
It is being shipped to Melbourne, Aus. definitely via USPS.
They have been giving me a run around for the past 4 weeks, hence I am little dubious if they actually sent the parcel. Would anyone be kind enough to may be call the USPS on my behalf to find out. I've had my Street Bob apart waiting for the Nash gimps for the past two weeks with no successful outcome. The tracking number was: P463204071US
Thanks heaps

I ship over 2,000 items a year, so I hope my input is worth something.
USPS tracking is iffy at the best, and non-exixtant at the worse. The reason is, no one takes the time to scan the package into the system.
For instance, I take a package to the P.O., with pre paid shipping already on it. They take the package, and THROW it into the basket behind them, bypassing their scanning computer.
It will only show up on tracking if some postal employee actually does their job and scans it when it comes through their terminal. If I'm lucky, it will actually get scanned at the point of delivery, so that the buyer can't claim they never received it.
I don't know of any way we could find your package. Our local post offices don't even have their own phone numbers listed, much less some national number that we could call.
And that's the way it is in the good ol' US of A.
