Windex for chrome?

RE: Windex for chrome?
I use a glass cleaner called Sprayway, probably the same stuff WideglideBob is talking about, between washes. It is a little less expensive than Windex and contains no ammonia. After a wash, I use Turtle Wax chrome cleaner/polish.

So what's the difference between chrome wax or polish & any other wax you would use for paint? I've used NXT, Ice, 2001 & now pig snot & they all work great on chrome. So tell me why not use regular wax.

I agree with the majority and have been using it for years. Make sure you buy the non-ammonia formula though, because it is possible for the ammonia to react with the chrome surface if there are imperfections in the chrome, even imperfections that you can't see with your eye.

As suggested above, it's better to use a good polish or one of the mist detailers. Windex strips wax, leaving chrome unprotected from the elements
