I have it on my bike and it's one the best things I bought. I flick the high/low beam switch as I'm rolling up the driveway and the door is open when I get there. Money well spent.

I took a key fob remote and placed it under the upholstry on my seat. Just pull a couple of stables out, slide in the remote and re-staple. Nothing to hide, can't steal what you can't see, and works great.

Use a 12 volt remote, solder a wire to permanently close the switch, remove the battery from the remote and solder wires to the battery tabs, (-) to ground and the (+) to the high beam wire.

I recently installed a new garage door opener, new remotes are 3 volts so I used a relay to trigger the remote switch. Battery didn't last to long so I used the below 3.3 voltage regulator, removed relay and rewired it like above.

3.3V POWER SINGLE VOLTAGE REGULATED MODULE / SCHMARTBOARD 710-0003-04
Frys # 6250650 Mfr: SchmartBoard $9.99

5V POWER SINGLE VOLTAGE REGULATED MODULE / SCHMARTBOARD 710-0003-05
Frys # 6250660 Mfr: SchmartBoard $9.99

9V POWER SINGLE VOLTAGE REGULATED MODULE / SCHMARTBOARD 710-0003-06
Frys # 6250680 Mfr: SchmartBoard $9.99

I just took my regular remote and put it in my windshield bag. The metal clip is on the outside of the front (nearest me) but the flap (cover) hides that.

My garage door opener also opens the front gate right from the bike. I stop... She gets off... The rest takes care of itself.

I also looked into it, ended up with a unit at sears that just plugs/wires in to the opener and has a small 3-button fob that's in a ziplock bag in one of my gloveboxes (Roadglide)

I just velcro'd my standard remote to the dash below the windshield on my Ultra. Cost about $2 for the velcro. Works fine from two doors down the street.[8D]
