RE: Anyone have any input on GPS?
Garmin Nuvi 360 for my truck, great little device for the money, beats my wife's Lexus Built In Nav system. I believe the Tom-Tom and Garmin Zumo for the bikes are good choices. I am using a handheld Garmin GPSMAP60csx on my bike for now, until I can rig up my nuvi. The good thing about the nuvi/zumo is the built in database for finding gas/food/rest areas etc. I'm sure they're all like that. Anyway, check out this link for good reviews on them all: http://www.gpsreview.net/

RE: Anyone have any input on GPS?
Ive been checkin it out also,,,,,
Garmin zumo 550 is what 90% in here use,,I found it on the net for like $650
some say the 450 is good also but then you need to buy bike adapter/mounts.
its a lot of coin for a toy,,, but buy it right the first time,,,,save $ in the long run
besides these models are made for bikes, rain, vibration/bike roads.etc. and can be used in car also
I'll have one by spring, thats for sure. prob'y Garmin zumo 550

I just bought a TomTom One XL for the EGC. Found a mount on Ebay. Haven't hooked it up yet. Price was right.

I was thinking of the same thing. Then I found out my cell phone has a GPS application. It works great. If I use it during the month I pay like 9 dollars extra and if I don't I don't think I pay any extra. Idid some math and it isway cheaper and I don't have to worry about someone stealing my GPS unit.=)

I just got a TomTom Rider 2 and it's pretty damn cool. Installation was a snap and the user interface is simple. If you can't figure this out, just get a paper map.[8D] It comes with a Scala blue tooth headset and it and the TomTom will interface with your cell phone. I normally wouldn't care to use a GPS at all, but I'm prepping for a trip to Alaska and the GPS could be as useful as a jacket up there.
