Default Tool Kits?

This may be a stupid question, but here goes. I am new to Harley and I have a FatBoy 2005 now. Do Harleys come with a tool Kit? I bought it used, from an individual, so I did not get a full run through from the dealership. Any help would be appreciated....

Mine came with a small kit but I can't say all models do - Do a search here and you will get lots of direction as to what folks carry i.e. Windzone or kits they made themselves

Sears makes a good tool kit for bikes. Be sure to get standard not metric. It's quite a bit less than the Cruz and others advertised in mags. You should also get aset of torx sockets if you are going to do a little work yourself.

I picked up a set of Windzone direct from the company for $69.00 but you can find them on ebay for about $49.00. It's a decent kit that is self contained.

That's what I carry in the bottom of my saddle bag.

I was also supprised to find that my new Harley didn't come with a tool kit,all my Gold Wings,BMW andf going back 50 years even the BSA and other came with tool kits .I put togeather my own kit of the tools you might find handy on the road so proable better off I've never seen a real good kit with any of the machine I have owned.we never even had tools in the kit that was fasten on the 1941 Harley I learned to ride in the Army, the motor pool keep them in decent shape for us.maybe that why the HD has held up so well over the years they don't put the tools in the wrong hands ha ha good luck with your new Bike I know you will love it.

This may give you some ideas what you would need for a tool kit... https://www.hdforums.com/m_96975/tm.htm

All previous ricers came with "useable" toolkits + a place to put them. My Sportster and Superglide had neither. That's okay though, it gave me the opportunity to buy real working tools and make my own anyway. For Christmas the wife and daughter bought me a set of tools from Windzone, really nice, compact pack roll and all. Now, all I need is a few days of no snow and I can ride. Oh well, April is coming.

Yep , you'll be glad you did when you find out the bolt in question is a metric.
