Default Got Me A New Jacket

Firstgear Scout IV Leather Jacket - This top quality, versatile, comfortable riding jacket not only keeps you warm in cold weather, but cool in warm weather with the added protection of a high quality leather outer shell.

This is easily the best jacket I have ever owned and the best jacket for the money I could find.

Lets get this out of the way early in the thread. Those HD jackets are overpriced and most of them are made in China. Besides, if I advertise for HD they should pay me for it.

There, carry on.

Looks like a nice jacket Mike.

You have just identified the two reasons I don't wear a Harley Jacket. I only buy Genuine HD merchandise when I can't find what I need at a more reasonable price in some other product.

Yes, it is a nice jacket!

Mike, it was destined to be posted at least 20 times so I was saving time getting it out there early.

Coincidence, I just saw this today on Craiglist...

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/mcy/517404552.html

Lots of good gear out there when fair season riders depart.

That's a Honcho Jacket by Firstgear.

I only buy items made in China by non-union shops. [sm=devilgrin.gif]

I have 2 leather motorcycle jackets. The old school Marlon Brando types. Stylish but not real warm. Bought a Tourmaster (I don't like wearing Harley gear either) for $139 and it has 3 layers and has body armor as well. Not leather but REAL warm and also has reflective piping. Went on a long ride last weekend in the mountain by Castaic Lake and it was great. Made me realize I needed warmer gloves 'cause my hands were the only things that got cold!

Nice looking jacket Mike. I may take a look at one when I shop for my next leather jacket.

I also have a Tourmaster jacket right now that I really like. I'ts black has a removable liner and vents for the warmer days. I also like the fact that it has body armour in the back, shoulders and elbows.
