Default shifter linkage cover install.... im going to smash this thing

i installed my regulator cover and cylinder base covers today. then i went to install the shifter linkage cover. it consists of the cover, 2 jamnuts and 2 allen bolts. simple, straight forward install-- right? NO!

this fvcking thing broke my ***** so bad- i packed it back up and will make another attempt later on. it almost seems like the provided bolts are too short. ill be going to the hardware store tomorrow to get one thats a bit longer- ill put that one on the rear- its hidden by the primary anyway.

the chrome linkage is like $130- WAY too much money for a linkage, so i went with the cover.... and i cant believe i couldnt get this freakin thing on.

I know everyone that I work with is if you cant get in on the first couple of times, stop, take a break and then go back to it and 7 out of 10 times it goes right on. good luck with it though. although longer bolts might help.

Patience young grasshopper. I know it is very frustrating, but be patient. I have large hands and fat fingers and I had mine installed in less than 1/2 hour.

people on a budget. Personally, I'll save my pennies to avoid covers, to me they are just places for moisture and dirt to hide.

The bad thing is a little while after you install it the linkage will fail at the ball joint. The stock linkage is junk.
