I live in Alb, also. I have straight pipes, and they are loud, and your right, here they don't seem to care. I do know that unless I am really getting on it, they aren't that loud, just keep iteasy. BTW, I recently cancelled a trip to Denver, for the same reason. Although I probally would not be bothered, I have decided since Denver is taking a stand against loud pipes, they can do without my tourist money...

 

As all above said, just dont be sittin at a light revvin it to the red line and you'll be fine i would imagine....unless you get a motor hating leo. I know that as an LEO and a Harley Owner/Motorcycle Rider, I dont jack with riders, unless they are puting themselves or others at a risk. I am a firm believer in Pipes save lives. Others may disagree, but thats how I feel. good luck and enjoy if you decide to go. Buddy of mine and I are planning a trip from Ft Worth to Vegas in April. Gonna make a day ride to Cali while we are out there. So hope my feelings are correct.

 

you will find some of the loudest pipes in the world in so cal.
that said just be cool and I personelly would stay away from the beach cities south of LA coast is to busy anyway..
