Thanks glebo, let me tell you about your SF brethern. While in WO school I was having some "adjustment" problems switching from the AF to the Army. We had about 4-5 SF WO candidates in my class. My SF roommate was a big Polish guy, and he and I had some adjustment issues of our own. He was a do whatever we need to do to put up with this BS so we can get on with things, and I was an AF transfer who wasn't quite up to speed on keeping my AO clean. Anyway, TAC officer smoked me and a buddy every chance they got for our disorderliness and general not knowing what the hell we were doing yet thing. I was talking to the SF candidates one day, happened to mention that my uncle was SF Medic from days of old. I was immediately taken under the wing, showed where the secret stash of candy bars was, given some good guidance on the big picture, and my roommate and I got along much better. Great group of guys to say the least, and this experience, combined with my uncle's love of his job and respect for all troops, and having met some of his SFbuds through the years has left lifelong good impression and respect. Thanks for your prayers and happy holidays to you.

My prayers are out to your Uncle.

 

Just want to pass along some gratitude for the prayers for my uncle. It's been a tough past 2 weeks, especially for my aunt. One day good for him, next day not so good. Well, they extubated him yesterday, and he's exhausted. Well, I just got off the phone with him, told him glad he's back with us. Anyway, it was touch and go for awhile, but we'll get him back on his bike in no time. He's a tough fighter, not one to be held down by a little pneumonia and sepsis in the blood. Thanks again for all the prayers.
