Is it just me or what????
I (and I am sure you also) have noticed lately a boat load of people either trading up, trading in, or flat out buying new 08' FLHX Street Glides. I am wondering just how many people who own a perfectly good two or three year old bike, a have traded them in for a new SG? Its not JUST the SG though....I have also noticed many going for the Road Glide. Or even people going from Softail's to Touring.
I know both the SG & RG are super sweet rides, and have plenty of potential foraccessorising to the *****, but dam........it seems like two out of three new bikes are either a SG or RG.
I am very happy with my new SG....even if I still only have about 500mi. on it so far, but I aint too sure I would have traded in my Softail to get it. I like the option of having a choice to pick from when I want to go for a ride too much for that.

That's what owning a Harley is all about, dailing it in,eventually you will find the perfect ride. And as you age you will change.Been there done that.

Its a buyers market people with the available funds look at it as an oppurtunity to upgrade and get the newer models. I for one wanted a six speed tranny and the 96" motor. I just cruise at 80 mph at 3100 rpms its just more comfortable.

SG's are about the hottest selling thing HD has right now. They have a good sporty look while maintaining the ride, comfort and conviences of a touring bike.
The wife had a prefectly good Heritage and upgraded to the SG. The Heritage doesn't handle as good, it scraps the pegs in corners and the ride is not as good. Don't forget the steroe and XM 4radio for those 500 mile days.

Don't know about the SG part, but I see lots of people trading fairly new bikes to get the ABS on the '08's. I'm thinking about this also. If not for the ABS I wouldn't even be thinking about it.

I've seen a boatload of Street Glides and Road Glides on the pavement here too... What I don't see moving much are the Dynas... Seems like the old hot-selling Wide Glide seems to be sitting for a long time... Wish I had the dough to pick up another one, I think for a bar hopper the 08 Street Bob would do me fine... Won't trade my 07 RKC though... I love this bike...
