ORIGINAL: aviator

I "solved" this problem by moving my front shifter leverto the outboard position on the splined shaft, and eliminating the rear shifter lever... which I had done 5 minutes after I got the bike. so, the shifter pad is square and in the middle of the floorboard again. once i install the E-Z Brake pedal - the right side should be like stock too... just moved outward.
Excellent. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks, man.

Ioriginally got a Kuryakynheel shift levereliminatorfrom my dealer (costs around $35.00) it really didn't fit the Fat Boy like I thought it should - so I wound up getting aschedule 80, black, 1/2" PVC unionX 1 1/2" long for $.39 from Home Depot..... works fine.

Here are a few thoughts about these FLOORBOARD EXTENSIONS making a difference.
I had a mechanic test ride my bike, he didn't know that I had extensions on my boards. He actually made a comment on how comfortable my bike was to ride. He didn't even notice the extensions, but he sure noticed the difference in the ride.
This is something you've gotta feel to believe.

Here is another thing that was recently brought to my attention from a rider who installed my EXTENSION kit.
He says that with the extensions installed he is now able to get the benefit to the anti-vibration floorboard pads. Thinking about it, I realized that with your feet making contact with the outsides of the boards (metal area), you can feel the vibrations of the bike as it's transferred through the metal, but with the boards extended to a more comfortable position you are able to place your feet flat and actually get the benefit of the ANTI-VIBRATION PADS that Harley was kind enough to invent.

That's all I have to say about that.

Best regards to all.

Greetings Tom,

Am looking at the floorboard extensions for an '06 Road King. Saw one post where you were going to offer a discount to members ???

Thanks in advance,

Wil

I just put the extensions on my 08 FLHX and it's by far the best modification I've made to the bike. Before putting them on, my feet hung over the sides of the footboards and the bike felt small. Once they were installed, my feet were in a more natural position. It's just perfect, and I can comfortably ride all day. I'm also using a Walter's Workshop extended shifter and a Soft Brake extended lever — and everything works great together. The extensions are well made — they look just like stock in black.

Thanks!

I put them on a couple weeks ago--best $50 you can spend as an upgrade. No more heel burns on pipe. Very Comfortable. No problems with the shifter & brake. Had them at my door in 2 days. Thanks HG.

Hi Scott, YES... these will work with your '97 FATBOY - please be sure to order the 86-99 FLST (SOFTAIL) kit. They will work with any floorboard that will fit on your stock brackets. $49.95 includes free priority shipping and a 100% money-back guarantee.

The difference if comfort is unbeleivable! - I ride a 2002 CLASSIC and I'll never go back to a stock board location.

Thank you for your interest.
