Default Throttle Grip. Assembly ?

HI, Will be putting on my Iso grips later and it say's to loosen both the cable adjusters on the throttle side. When I loosen the lock nut do I turn the lock nut & adjuster down toward the front wheel to collapse the cable, or up towards the throttle. It kinda feels the same when I do it either way. Thanks for your help. And yes I did a search & got some good tips.

Thanks!!

Frank

Frank

You collapse the adjuster to give you more slack in the cables

The second link in this post deals with YOUR grips...

You would do much better to post this sort of question in the tech forum also.

you turn the adjuster down towards the front wheel to collapse >> while you have it apart go ahead and smear some grease all around the handlebar where the throttle grip rides >> this helps in a smoother throttle response

You'll find that the grease isn't the best to use here, it slows the action of the throttle down (drags). If you use dri slide or something of this nature, the feel and movement will be far superior to the grease... http://www.ironbraid.com/driside.html
