Wow that head stone surprises me for two reasons.
1) It features the failed Snake river jump.It was afamous event but not what he should be remembered for.
2) It shows who donated the head stone. Talk about a tacky advertisement opportunity!!!
Was that on the back side of the regular tombstone or a seperate monument?

Evel was a tried and true piece of good ol' "Americana". Much in the same light as a Ray Charles, an Elvis Presley, a Rodney Dangerfield, or a John Wayne; There will never be another quite like him. Those of us who were fortunate enough to have 'grown up watching him' are - in my mind's eye - blessed to have witnessed such groundbreaking independence, courage,and fortitude. May he R.I.P.
