I always have a pair of goggles for the rain and very cold (below 30) days I ride. I couold give a crap less what somebody else thinks. I ride for my pleasure and my goggles enable me to ride comfortably. Hell in really cold weather I diig out my carhart bib overalls to ride in with my leather jacket. Is it cool...no it's warm and that's what's inportant to me.

Not so sure jimmers. got the 80$ googles from HD. 1st set I had to return due to broken piece of plastic which was INDEED made in china, second set I had to return due to constant fogging - felt like a 10$ piece os sh.. now have invested in the panoptix and couldn't be happie...

I haven't worn goggles since my old off-road days... I wear a 1/2 helmet with the little short visor... on my RKC even with the windshield off I haven't had a problem with my contacts... Take the visor off and my contacts feel like they are going to flip right out my eyes, even with sunglasses on... hmmm... I may have to go have a look at some goggles...

I used to wear sunglasses and never really had a problem with the wind even without a windshield. Now I always wear goggles and yes I do look like a racoon to other folks, but the chicks love it (well they laugh anyway) and you do get respect from other riders as obviously you ride regardless. I say if you like'em wear'em. But then I could afford that opinion as I'm already cool and need not impress anyone

 

I wear Panoptx Diablos..transitional lenses/googles.. not as cool looking but use them day and night/downpours of rain and no problems...a bit pricey..shop around..ask clerk to take you outside and try them out... fyi..they could go a bit darker for bright light use..but overall will be buying another as a spare....... I used this same pair on a sporty with no windshield/ now using with a streetglide /stock windshield.. very happy with the Panoptx..nice foam removable cushion, vented.easy to clean, nice hard case. used in temps 30- 100 degrees on rides and no problem.
hmm.. didnt think about getting a matching scarf schucks..
