Let me make one thing clear here. I have owned 8 Jap bikes growing up and5 Brit bikes, 2 Spanish bikesand a Kraut before I Graduatedto the 3 Harley's I've owned since 1990. I don't hate ricers, I just try and have a sense of humor and pridewith my decision to ride American from now on.
I was going to say I didn't make the first snide remark, but I guess I did with my plate.
One thing I told the first guy that asked about what "No Rice" means that I didn't include in my first post. I told him I used to have a NO Jap tag on my Triumph, but I now thought that was discriminatory. Another joke. He didn't laugh.

PS: Maybe one day I'll see a ricer with NO USA on his tag.

Im no self loathing Harley owner I love my bike but I dislike the FACT it has jap parts on it.
NO rice means no rice right? He should have said "not much rice". I agree he handled it well but still, Harley runs jap parts.
Like it or not his tag is a misnomer...

About ten years ago I was in a bar at a Best Western Motel in Wilcox, Az. Was chatting with the guy next to me about motorcycles. At the time I was riding a Honda ST 1100 which by the way was one fine sport touring motorcycle. When he asked me what I rode I told him what it was and mentioned it was just outside the door if he'd like to see it. "No thanks" he said. "If it's not a Harley I'm not interested". I said: "what do you ride:. He answered: "I don't have a bike". I just gave a chuckle and we were thru chatting.!!!

I have two HD's, but think that a nice bike is a nice bike, no matter who the manufacturer is.
I do think that a person that thinks a crotch rocket is better than a touring/cruiser bike for riding and looking a scenery, and a harley touring rider that thinkshis harley is better for speed than a crotch rocket, are really not in touch with reality.
