RE: Evil Knievel passes away
Great memories of Evel growing up. Watching his jumps, pretending to be him (couldn't get the same air onthat Honda 50), the lunch box and wind up bike. Got the opportunity to meet him and get his autograph a few years ago.
I'm pretty sureEvel didn't walk through the Pearly Gates...... He cleared 'em.
RIP Evel.

That was the Hell's Angles he beat with a 2x4. I guess the Angles weretaunting him. Wasn't a pretty scene for either side. That was March 3, 1972 at the Cow Palace.
Iam named after Roger Reiman who built his bikes. Roger was a 3 time Daytona 200 winner ('61, 63 and 64) and the 1964 AMA Flattrack Champion. Roger continued racing Daytona until 1974. He came back in1985 to race the Battle of the Twins and in 1987 just shy of 50 years old placed third atRoad America in Elkhart Lake, WI.. Roger was killed whilepracticing for BMW's Race of Champions at DaytonaMarch 4,1997.
I have many memories of my Dad taking my brother and I to Reiman's Harly-Davidson to meet Evel and set on his bikes. He was an interesting individual. Reiman's is now owned by Roger's lifelong best friend Denny Packee. I am sure he has plenty stories he could share about his day's with Evel and crew. Roger was pretty crazy himself.
Godspeed Evel.

RE: Evel Knievel passes away
I was 10 or 11 at the height of Evils career and I idolized him. I used to jump my 1972 Honda SL 70 pretending I was him. I had the wind up motorcycle toy also.
Wish I still had the toy and the SL70.
